To help the church wake up from nominal Christianity and recover its compelling voice.

We believe that Jesus is worth following with everything we have.  As his disciples, we do this by learning to be with him, listening to his voice, and following where he leads.  Our desire is to learn how to live in Jesus’ presence, by the Spirit, not settling for information about him, rather, knowing him personally and deeply.

One of the great hopes of the Christian life is being transformed to become more like Jesus.  Sadly, the gap between this promise and our reality often creates frustration in our lives.  We are committed to rediscovering Jesus’ way of discipleship, learning to live in his rhythms and follow his ways, stepping further into the abundant life that we have received in him.

Jesus has invited all of us to join him in his mission in the world. He is inviting every person that follows him to get off the sidelines and actively engage with him, one another, and the world around us. The Scriptures say each of us has a role to play in God’s Kingdom. We want to be a part of empowering this generation to participate in God’s mission in the world. .

For the first 1,000 years of the church, there was only one church. Since the Reformation in 1517, it has split over 300,000 times. We believe it strengthens our influence to unite over the main things, instead of dividing over secondary differences. Many churches have agreed that the Nicene Creed from 381 AD outlines the primary Scriptural boundaries of our faith. It highlights the “main things” that hold us together at Dwell.
